Hello and welcome to my website!

I’m Cathal Crowe and I’m incredibly proud to a Fianna Fáil TD for County Clare.

I’m 42 years old and have been involved in politics since the age of 21, when I was first elected as a county councillor.

Before my election to Dáil Éireann in February of 2020, I served as Mayor of Clare, which was the greatest honour of my career to date.

I’m a proud Banner man having been reared in Meelick. I’m married to Maeve and we are raising our three beautiful kids, Sam, Charlie and Eve.

I studied History, Politics, Sociology and Economics at the University of Limerick, where I got very involved in youth politics. Upon completion of these studies, I obtained a postgraduate qualification in Primary School Teaching from Mary Immaculate College.

Up until my election as a TD, I taught in Parteen National School – a job I absolutely loved!

Politics can be rather hectic but in my downtime I love playing with my kids, getting outdoors, following Clare GAA and rugby and delving into local folklore and history.

I love travelling both within Ireland and abroad (who doesn’t!) and since childhood, I have been crazy about planes, helicopters and all machines that take to the skies – I think these two particular passions fuel my interest in the senior role in this current Dáil I have been appointed as the Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Aviation and Logistics, and as Cathaoirleach of the Oireachtas Committee on Education and Youth, by An Taoiseach, Mícheál Martin.

I was once asked by a group of students what two adjectives I’d use to describe my work as politician – after some musing I said “hard working” and “out spoken” – if there are ever any issues or concerns that you would like me to work on our ‘speak out’ on please don’t hesitate to get in contact!

Warm regards,
