Hello and welcome to my website!

I’m Cathal Crowe and I’m incredibly proud to be Fianna Fáil’s TD in County Clare.

I’m 41 years old and have been involved in politics since the age of 21, when I was first elected as a county councillor.

Before my election to Dáil Éireann in February of 2020, I served as Mayor of Clare, which was the greatest honour of my career to date.

I’m a proud Banner man having been reared in Meelick. I’m married to Maeve and we are raising our three beautiful kids, Sam, Charlie and Eve.

I studied History, Politics, Sociology and Economics at the University of Limerick, where I got very involved in youth politics. Upon completion of these studies, I obtained a postgraduate qualification in Primary School Teaching from Mary Immaculate College.

Up until my election as a TD, I taught in Parteen National School – a job I absolutely loved!

Politics can be rather hectic but in my downtime I love playing with my kids, getting outdoors, following Clare GAA and rugby and delving into local folklore and history.

I love travelling both within Ireland and abroad (who doesn’t!) and since childhood, I have been crazy about planes, helicopters and all machines that take to the skies – I think these two particular passions fuel my interest in the senior role I’ve been appointed to by An Taoiseach, Mícheál Martin; Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Tourism and Aviation.

I was once asked by a group of students what two adjectives I’d use to describe my work as politician – after some musing I said “hard working” and “out spoken” – if there are ever any issues or concerns that you would like me to work on our ‘speak out’ on please don’t hesitate to get in contact!

Warm regards,
